Hiya folks, after my long-time absence from the server (final exams time) I now and then find some time to be back on the server.

A friend of mine gave me the following book as a gift - and the story is so ground-breaking that I definitely want to share it.
To all who tell you: "well, that's the system we live in, and unfortunately there is no alternative model of a society form" you can answer...
"well, f u very much, but here is a blueprint."

Daemon by Daniel Suarez (and it's Follow-up: Freedom(tm) )

I think we are living in a time where we'll see an incredible amount of change, a breaking down of systems that have been lasting for ages, and I think it's our generation that will contribute to that change on the base of our daily decisions we are taking for our lives. In case anyone else is interested, I'll start a topic on the friends index about several paradigm shifts I have personally studied for some time now, including physics, medicine and society.

If yes, just post back =)

@binary - thx m8! It was one hell of a ride, but I managed to finish with a result of 2. \o
now u all know where my tendencies to reckless, selfdestructing revival sprees are originating from... mad doctor skillz!!! :D

p.s. btw, both books are one long continuous story. so if u finish daemon, be aware that you still ain't seen nothin yet. ^^

Damn it we all are getting older huh ? Reading a, what you call it BOOK ? :o instead of fraggin 24h a day.

Speaking of alternative stuff, I'll personally recommend Michio Kaku "Hyperspace" well it's a little bit geeky scientific one but worth spending some time.

Just one quick teaser from it :

Time travelling is just s-f ?
You are wrong sir.

Oh we need book corner somewhere here we'll show Et community how to frag with style.
In my dreams I see after every frag quoting :"Non omnis moriar" --:) etc.
