Be honest, does anyone use a lag script as almost as often as not when I come up against some other players in a boxed in room type of way I often get a small but perceptible amount of lag which throws my aim off widely.

I know I'm not the greatest player out there and my acc with smg is probably 25% at most on a good day but it does seem I often lag out when I'm start on high hp compared to other player who I'm sure at times are very low on hp after battling other team mates and just as about to fire my final shots...........LAG

I have very good internet connection with pings to the server 20-40 max and +-2ms on the jitter and my pc is more than capable of no lag gameplay. I also except the server does occasionally lag properly for all but these small milli second lags do seem to happen mostly during one to one last man standing momenets.

Any thoughts? do those lag scripts I can see via google get caught by pb or other server restrictions? Anyone else think the same sometimes?

I think the purpose of a lag script would be to make yourself lag, not the other guy.
It only takes a very small loss of connectivity to get lags caused by standing anywhere near another player, I normally notice when I am leaving spawn and my own team make me lag out.

Lag scripts can also be used to lag whole server. But I've never heard about lag scripts that make only your current opponent to lag. Of course I'm not saying it's impossible, but it would be much harder to do.

I sort of guessed any lag induced might not be confined to specific opponent but any lag induced on the server would give the player a reasonable chance of recovery if needing a reload or a few extra xp. Most of the time these opponents are medics whose hp will up a little.

I guess I might be wrong but I'm finding it difficult to work out why the lags always seem to occur at what should be a good moment for me but often end up the opposite

moi I use to get lag when entering boxed off rooms, why it happened is beyond me and it only ever seemed to be with et all other games were fine

I think I might well be wrong then with this assumption.

One thing I did find during my look for evidence of lag scripts was one that increases fps from a constant X (76 in my case) to a higher figure while shooting. I gave it a breif go last night and got the impression it helped my aim a bit although fairly sure my accuracy stats where the same usual high standard of 20-25%

Anyway, cut a long story short, I also buggered about with my et install (attempted cleanup of old scripts/paks) and changed some cvars last night and now while an smg feels about the same as usual for some reason most of my sniper shots aren't hitting 80%+ of the time now (even when im 99% sure I'm on target) and I know I'm usually around 50% when in pure sniper mode so I've messed something which has dropped my aim with that and if I could only reverse that change then add some numbers the other way I'll be sorted

lesson learnt = don't mess with cvars that have more of less been set in stone for 6+ years

do you use pmove? (or something like that i think its called).
because i remember that does f up your scoped )sniper aim quite a lot.

I never noticed it effecting scope, now i know why my aim was poop

pmove_fixed 0 = 17-0 kills and 55% acc on fuel dump just now
